ACUPUNCTURE
acupuncture image.jpg

Acupuncture restores the flow of QI by inserting and manipulating hair-thin needles at specific points to return your body to its natural balance and promote the body's ability to heal.

Electro-Acupuncture is an effective treatment usually given 15-20 min. where the needles are placed at specific points, then connected to a device that generates continuous stimulation with low electrical currents.

CUPPING THERAPY

Cupping is a very effective and rapid method to relieve muscle tension and is especially helpful when applied to the neck, shoulder, and back areas. This therapy is a great way to provide immediate relaxation and relief.

Gliding cupping with oil is a method we use for deep tissue muscle treatment caused by stress, depression, and long hours of sitting. This method enhances blood circulation.

HERBAL MEDICINE
Chinese_Herbs.jpg

Herbal medicine is focused on improving blood flow, enhancing nutrient delivery to cells throughout the body, and restoring optimized organ function.

Custom herbal formulas are created specifically for each individual patient based on their unique conditions, after a proper diagnosis by a practitioner. Formulas may change over time, but having proper dosing is critical, as may interact with conventional drugs.

Dietary Therapy (Detoxification & Weight Loss)

In Chinese medicine the spleen and stomach are the organs of digestion and assimilation.  The stomach QI descends food energy into the body and the spleen distributes it to the muscles and tissues.  This is important in order to maintain a healthy and balanced body system. Anything that upsets the functions of the spleen and stomach may injure the body as a whole.

Chinese medicine offers much more than just acupuncture.  In fact, dietary advice is perhaps the most important and long-term factor for people who are striving to recover quickly, stay healthy, and remain in balance for a lifetime.

All of these factors are important to have healthy digestion and the assimilation of food.

Food is medicine for daily living.

DOES ACUPUNCTURE WORK?

Yes. Many health insurance companies are including acupuncture in their coverage, because research has demonstrated that it can reduce costly surgeries and medications. If acupuncture didn’t work, they would not cover it.

AFTER ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT, HOW SOON CAN I EXPECT TO FEEL BETTER?

Most people experience improvement during the first treatment.

DOES IT HURT?

Acupuncture needles are hair-thin. While people experience acupuncture differently, most feel no discomfort or only minimal pain as the needles are inserted. Many actually fall asleep during the treatment, because it relaxes them.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE NEEDLES THAT ARE USED. CAN I GET AN INFECTION?

The FDA requires that all acupuncture needles be sterile, nontoxic, and disposed of after a single use. We use only FDA approved sterile, disposable needles, which are discarded properly after one use.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Depends on your condition and how your practitioner best outlines your treatment plan.

DO YOU USE HERBS?

Yes. Herbs can enhance the acupuncture treatment.

HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?

Generally, a session can last anywhere from 30 min. up to 2 hours, depending on the condition that is being treated.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

Many health plans are accepted but please call your health insurance company to find out if your insurance covers acupuncture and we will verify your eligibility of insurance coverage.
